About us
Principal’s Message!
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Welcome to our school community — a place where young hearts and minds are nurtured through faith, learning, and character.
At our Islamic primary school, we proudly cater to students from Kindergarten through to Year 10 for branch 1 & kindergarten to year 8 in branch 2 across our two vibrant campuses.
We are deeply committed to providing a holistic education rooted in Islamic values and academic excellence.
Our core values — Care, Character, Communication, Respect, and Responsibility — are not just words but the foundation of everything we do. These values guide our students to grow into confident, compassionate, and morally upright individuals, ready to contribute positively to the world around them.
What makes our school unique is our focus on:
• Small class sizes that ensure every child is seen, heard, and supported
• A student-centred approach that places each learner’s needs at the heart of teaching
• A safe, nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued
• Engaging, high-quality lessons delivered by professional, dedicated teachers
• A rich program of sports and co-curricular activities that promote teamwork and wellbeing
• Student leadership opportunities that build confidence and responsibility
We aim to develop the whole child — spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally — so that every student thrives both in this life and the next, insha’Allah.
We invite you to explore our website, visit our campuses, and discover how our school can support your child’s learning journey.
Warm regards,
Jimaleh Hussein Nuur
Principal
“
AIS was established in July 2021 in one campus at Malaha area, Hargeisa.
We are a unique educational institution in Somaliland, we are two in one a Madrassa and a school. We teach both full Hifthul Quran, Islamic Studies and school education. AIS has a full Hifth program where students memorise the whole Quran at school and learn the Tafseer of some chapters of the holy Quran throughout their time in AIS.
Philosophy
“We aspire to create student-centred learning environments in which the student is in the driving seat of their own learning. Also, our classrooms are always focused on the specific needs of our students. We work hard to differentiate learning so that each student’s unique skills are emphasized.
